What another great show. Mike Anderson and his crew did a great job for us. A little hot and muggy but the track was there. We picked up 6 new members 1 from North Carolina and the other 5 from Virginia, 4 of the 5 Virginia racers had their cars on hand trying to qualify for there first POWERGLIDE PROMOD Race. 4 Of The 5 new members that raced qualified. We had another New #1 qualifier Kevin Fortney ran A 4.453 At 161.55 to Just edge out Steve Bray At A 4.484 At159.68. The Big Surprise was new comer David Banks From Maysville North Carolina with his 04 Mustang powered by A 698 NOS Chevy. David was Number 6 qualifier but in elimination he was the quickest each round all the way to the finals . He Ran 4.39,4.38,4.37, and in the finals he Ran A 4.36 Against #1 Qualifier Kevin Fortney who just happened to turn on that red bulb. We had 17 racers on hand with 16 making that 4.99 Cut.
